Magic in Gaza | 2024–2025
This is magic performed in the middle of a war.
Not to distract from reality, but to stand inside it.
During the 2024–2025 war in Gaza, magic became a fragile, intentional pause, moments created among ruins, shelters, hospitals, and displaced communities. No stage, no lights, no protection. Just hands, eyes, and people sharing the same breath for a few seconds.
In a place where everything is urgent, these moments are quiet acts of resistance. A child laughing without explanation. An adult allowing themselves to be surprised. A circle forming where fear loosens, briefly, its grip.
This is not about hope as an abstract idea.
It’s about presence. About dignity. About reminding each other that humanity doesn’t disappear under bombs, it hides, waits, and sometimes reappears in the most unexpected forms.
