This work was developed from inside a frontline hospital in Ukraine, operating from a location that cannot be disclosed for security reasons. Embedded alongside the volunteers of MMRescue and the medical staff of the 266th Brigade, I was given rare access to document the hospital’s work while Russian drones and strikes continued only kilometres, and sometimes metres, away. The photographs follow the rhythm of frontline medicine: wounded arriving through the night, emergency interventions, moments of exhaustion, and medical teams making life-or-death decisions under constant threat.

The project offers an intimate visual testimony from inside a functioning frontline hospital, focusing not only on the brutality of war injuries, but on the people who continue to treat them, preserving life and human dignity in a place where both are under constant threat.
